Spangdahlem Passport Office
The Spangdahlem passports office services Air Force active duty military and civilian personnel, family members and Civilian Personnel Office/Human Resources Office employees.
Dependents overseas are required to have a no-fee passport, and are encouraged to have a tourist passport. If you did not obtain both a tourist and no-fee passport before your PCS and would like to have both, call the 52nd Force Support Squadron Military Personnel Section soon after arrival. No-fee passports are not to be used for leisure travel; they are for official travel only. No-fee passports with Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) are normally required for dependents to PCS out of commercial ports.
Parents are required to apply for a no-fee passport for their newborn, and are encouraged to apply for a tourist passport, as well. Children must be command sponsored and enrolled in DEERS to apply for a no-fee passport. Both parents and the baby must be present during the appointment. The total cost will be $215 for a birth certificate and a tourist passport.
To apply for a no-fee or a tourist passport, the application must be filled out on-line (not hand-written) and printed out with the barcode on the upper left side of the form. The application can be filled out at https://pptform.state.gov/
. Print out the application (only pages 5&6 are required) and bring it during walk-in hours. Please note: if applying for a child under the age of 15, both parents and child need to be present.
