Welcome to the 470 Air Base Squadron - Home of the Bisons!

The 470th Air Base Squadron’s mission is to support US services members as well as their dependents, NATO and the Department of Defense. We provide combat-ready Airmen to the nation’s fight.

Our squadron is located on the NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen, which is just outside the town of Teveren, Germany. The Bison family consists of roughly 90+ active duty, civilians and local nationals with different core Air Force specialties.

As of June 3, 2022, the current Health Protection Condition is Green.

Upon arrival in country, contact your sponsor as soon as possible.

Within the first 30 days on station, you must register your Common Access Card (CAC) and Dependent ID Card(s) with the Installation Access Control System located at the Visitor's Control Center (Bldg 505), outside of the main gate. Upon registration of your CAC, you will be authorized access to one or more local military installations and establish escort privileges.
