Holiday Greeting - 52nd Medical Group Published Dec. 14, 2009 By Col. Lorrie Cappellino 52nd Medical Group Commander SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Dear Santa: The Saber medics have been very, very good this year. May we please have a new medical clinic for Christmas? You've probably seen the construction work near the main gate. That building is our vision of hope for the future of health care at the 52nd Fighter Wing. But do we really need a new building to bring health and happiness this year? During the past year, the men and women of the 52nd Medical Group have continued to strive to improve all aspects of medical care, particularly the support we provide to Airmen at our geographically separated units and the strengthened partnerships with our host nation medical network. Although we have a new building on the way, our medics don't stand still for a minute. We've made adjustments to clinics and practices to accommodate wing members' needs and want to continue to make things better every day - with or without a new building. We all believe in what we're doing, enjoy being medics and know that providing high-quality health care is what we were put on this earth to do - and put in the Air Force to do. We count our blessings every day, and don't need a new building to remind us that we are lucky to provide medical care to you in the greatest wing in the Air Force! Now then Santa, having said that, maybe a little something with a big parking lot in 2012 might be nice. Gil and I wish you and your families good health and success in 2010!
