Tech. Sgt. David Flosi, 704th Munitions Support Squadron NCOIC of quality assurance, has been named the 52nd Fighter Wing's Top Saber Performer for the week of Dec. 21-27.

Name: Tech. Sgt. David Flosi
Unit: 704th Munitions Support Squadron, Ghedi Air Base, Italy
Duty title: NCOIC of quality assurance
Hometown: Phoenix, Ariz.
Years in service: 11 years
Why joined the Air Force: When I joined the Air Force all those years ago, I was pretty sure the Air Force and I would get along just fine. I liked the Air Force mission and appreciated the stability of a military career, so I signed up.
Family: Katy is my beautiful wife of nearly 11 years. We've been 'blessed' with two daughters and a son: Hannah 'HJ' June, 9, Isabella 'BB' Marie, 7 and Jack 'Jack-Attack' Steven, 5.
Hobbies: By hobbies, if we're referring to what we do when I'm not at work, that's easy; clean stuff and play kid games, in that order. We also like cycling, astronomy, camping and jigsaw puzzles.
Favorite aspect of job: I really enjoy the opportunity we have to interact with dozens of U.S. and NATO specialties on a regular basis. Learning from professionals outside the weapons maintenance community has really helped me develop an appreciation for our Air Force mission and our role in the NATO community.
Most memorable Air Force experience: My most memorable Air Force experience was at Prince Sultan Air Base, 2003, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Day One. Watching our Air Force team load, launch and recover just about everything with an engine and wings was truly inspiring.
