Local town invites Sabers to join American themed music festival Published May 11, 2009 SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- The village Orenhofen invites base members to their annual music festival May 16-17, this year themed "America." On behalf of the Orenhofen community, Marko Schoenhofen would like to welcome his American neighbors to the festival. The Orenhofen music association will offer American specialties, folk music and dances. As a highlight of the event the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band "Wings of Dixie" will perform a concert at 8 p.m. May 16. Afterward the "Sterio" band will play dance music. Activities continue at 11 a.m. Sunday with a morning concert. There will be musical performances by various bands from the area throughout the day.
