AFN Europe is adding National Public Radio (NPR) and Sports Talk shows to its Power Network schedule and syndicated music countdown shows to its AFN 360--Internet Radio service. The changes begin March 4.

"We're giving our audience more of what they want," said AFN spokesman George Smith. "Our audience tells us they like NPR and want to hear countdown shows on AFN 360."

AFN Europe is adding an additional two hours of NPR Monday-Friday mornings from 9-11 Central European Time; a total of 10 hours a weekday.

AFN is changing moving Rush Limbaugh's show from his previous airtime of 8 p.m. to 6 p.m., which is when the network receives the program from the AFN broadcast center in California.

To make way for the changes, AFN is discontinuing its Mannheim, Germany, originated "Connections" DJ shows.

AFN 360, the network's streaming Internet Radio service, now offers three popular U.S. Countdown shows on the weekend: "American Top 40," "American Country Countdown," and "The Countdown," a contemporary Christian music show. AFN 360 also offers blocks of urban, alternative, gold and country music.
