Spangdahlem to host 14th annual Explore the Eifel information, adventure fair

Spangdahlem is scheduled to hold its 14th annual Explore the Eifel information and adventure fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 27 at Club Eifel here.

 

The free fair is open to Sabers and their families and is designed to foster partnerships between base members and their German neighbors across the Eifel region and in Luxembourg.

 

Attendees will learn about local culture, history, activities and sights across the region from more than 150 exhibitors. Fair goers will also have an opportunity to sign up to more than half a dozen excursions occurring throughout the summer.

 

Base members can visit the booths, collect travel and sightseeing information view demonstrations and activities inside and outside Club Eifel and participate in games for prizes during the fair.

The Knights of Manderscheid dressed in original outfits

Photoshoots with a Mosel Wine Queen

Free waffles

Free excursion packages and entry tickets

 

Demonstrations, shows and activities will be geared toward sharing German culture and local sites to the U.S. citizens living in the Eifel community.

 

Fair participants will include mayors, area officials, county representatives, Host Nation Council representatives, honorary commanders, community volunteers, travel and tourist office agents and private establishments, who will provide information on the Eifel as well as tailored excursion and event packages in English to Airmen and their families.
