F-22 inaugural deployment to Europe
A U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft pilot assigned to the 95th Fighter Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., lands on the runway Aug. 28, 2015, at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. The U.S. Air Force deployed four F-22 Raptors, one C-17 Globemaster III, and approximately 60 Airmen and associated equipment to Spangdahlem, to train with NATO allies and partners. These relationships are critical to ensuring safety, and stability in the European region.
