It takes a team to run an airfield
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Tech. Sgt. Michael Humphreys, 52nd Operations Support Squadron mission weather forecaster, monitors wind speed and visibility using a Kestrel 4500 hand-held weather gauge just off of Spangdahlem Air Base’s flight line July 14. As a member of the weather flight Sergeant Humphrey provides a range of services including satellite analysis, lightning data, radar analysis, divert base support and mission execution forecasts through the “Eyes Forward” concept with the 21st Operational Weather Squadron, located at Sembach Air Base, Germany.
