  • First of monthly planned NATO exercises considered success at Spangdahlem

    The 52nd Fighter Wing hosted a multinational, large-force exercise Feb. 22-23, 2018, involving participants from several NATO countries. French, Dutch, German and Belgian aircrews flew multiple scenarios alongside American forces in what is planned to be a monthly undertaking designed to improve integration and communication among the NATO allies, said U.S. Air Force Capt. Tiffany Fjelsted, 52nd Operations Support Squadron chief of intelligence, weapons and tactics.
  • Spangdahlem Safety office introduces Chainbreaker Award

    The 52nd Fighter Wing Safety office recently implemented an award program to recognize individuals who make an outstanding contribution to the safety of the community. According to Lt. Col. Shaun Bellamy, 52nd FW chief of safety, the “Chainbreaker” Award – named for the “breaker” of the chain of events that often leads to a mishap – honors those who advance the Saber safety culture and highlights their contribution to the mission.
