A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III from Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, lands on the flightline of Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, Aug. 27, 2021. Though the 52nd Fighter Wing at Spangdahlem AB maintains and employs F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets, it also enables U.S. power projection by supporting Air Mobility Command's air mobility operations throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
