U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Donald Reid of the 52nd Fighter Wing Security Forces Squadron launches a Small Unmanned Aerial System, or sUAS, at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, March 19, 2021. The sUAS is a force multiplier that gives the SFS “eyes in the sky,” giving them a greater purview of a particular area, and augments SFS forces on ground. The demonstration was part of the introductory visit of Erin Sawyer, the new senior foreign policy advisor to the commander of United States Air Forces Europe and Air Forces Africa. The purpose of Sawyer’s visit was to introduce her to USAFE tactical and combat operations, including tactical fighter weapons and special weapons missions. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
