U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Pablo Lance, 52nd Maintenance Squadron avionics intermediate systems journeyman, performs maintenance on a theodolite at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, Dec. 13, 2018. A theodolite is a precision optical instrument for measuring angles between designated visible points. This is used in conjunction with pilot's helmets to measure angles in the horizontal and vertical planes. This helps pilots differentiate between angles while flying.
