The Spangdahlem Air Base honor guard participate in the memorial dedication ceremony to honor U.S. Army Cpl. Horace M. "Buddy" Thorne, Medal of Honor recipient, near Grufflingen, Belgium, Sept. 24, 2018. Thorne led a combat patrol in 1944, and was killed during the mission.
