Leadership "Out and About": Parachute Shop

Over 900 rescue workers including firefighters, police officers, German Red Cross and the German Rescue Organization were on duty the night several towns were hit by floods.
The Eifel region was hit by heavy rain resulting in floods. Some areas especially affected by the floods include Trier, Bitburg, Bernkastel-Wittlich, and Dudeldorf.
Approximately 40 volunteers devoted their time to help clean up Dudeldorf after a flood hit the village.
The event required 150 volunteers to help the children with various sporting events, lunch and an award ceremony at the end.
Each student from the event was paired up with a volunteer to participate in a variety of activities including basketball throw, balance beam, bowling, and relay races.
Approximately 90 students participated in sporting events and a cookout as part of the event designed to strengthen community relationships.
St. Martin's school and Spangdahlem students paired up with volunteers to engage in activities meant to be both challenging and fun.
The event marked the 26th year local students with special needs were invited to participate in activities with volunteers.
