F-22s take flight back to Tyndall AFB
A U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor fighter pilot assigned to the 95th Fighter Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., prepare for takeoff on the runway Sept. 11, 2015, at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. The F-22s conducted dissimilar air training with other fighter squadrons in U.S. Air Forces in Europe to include F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft. The F-22 Raptors also forward deployed for short periods of time to non-U.S. NATO bases. The USAF’s forward presence in Europe allows training with U.S. allies and partners to develop and improve regional security. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Christopher Ruano/Released)
