Combat Life Saver

DIVULJE TRAINING BASE, Croatia – Ukrainian Air Force Maj. Kostyantyn Humenyuk performs a body check on Army Lt. Valeria Bodyan for non-visual injuries May 6 during the 2008 Medical Training Exercise in Central and Eastern Europe (MEDCEUR). Major Humenyuk and Lt. Bodyan are two of 22 Ukranian members attending this exercise. The Combat Life Saver (CLS) training course is one of eleven courses offered during MEDCEUR. Fifteen nations are participating in the exercise from May 2 through 14. The exercise focuses on mass-casualty training scenarios and humanitarian aid in response to crises situations. MEDCEUR is a Joint Chiefs of Staff regional/multilateral exercise sponsored by U.S. European Command.
