Memorial Day ceremony

MARGRATEN, The Netherlands – A missing man formation flies overhead during a Memorial Day ceremony May 24, 2009 at the Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial. There are 8,302 soldiers buried there under rows of white crosses and stars of David. All of the graves are adopted by locals, who occasionally tend to the graves and lay flowers. (Courtesy photo)
