H1N1 influenza declared a pandemic

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- The World Health Organization declared the H1N1 influenza a pandemic and raised the alert to Pandemic 6 June 11. Although it is rare for people to get the H1N1 flu, it does happen. There are now four new confirmed cases of H1N1 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the U.S. European Command to six. (Courtesy graphic)
