Airmen explore the Eifel

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Staff Sgt. Louis Dymon, 52nd Equipment Maintenance Squadron, explains to John Callon, brother of Airman 1st Class Nathanael Callon, 52nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs, and Staff Sgt. Ryan Breaux, 52nd Communications Squadron, the importance of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. The 506th PIR, also known as Easy Company, was made well-known by the popular television series “Band of Brothers.” The Airmen from the 52nd Fighter Wing visited old battle sites as part of Explore the Eifel.
