Outdoor Rec tests Sabers caving, rappelling skills

SPANGDAHELM AIR BASE, Germany -- Mike Kirsch, Outdoor Recreation program director, looks on as 2nd Lt. Vincent McLean, 52nd Logistics Readiness Squadron Materiel Management Flight commander and Outdoor Recreation volunteer, helps strap in a participant during a caving and rappelling daytrip in Luxembourg. After a 20-minute hike into the woods, about 25 Sabers crawled through caves and careened off cliffs and into caves while donning hard hats and harnesses.
