Celebrating the Month of the Military Child

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, GERMANY -- Yvonne Garza, far right, and her son, John, 2, played with giant bubbles during the Month of the Military Child Block Party at the fitness center April 28. Several parents and more than 500 kids attended. A variety of events were offered, a fishing booth, temporary tattoos, arts and crafts, a bouncy castle, and more. The Green Knights Motorcycle Club sponsored a bicycle rodeo and inspected many of the kids bikes for safety. The Health and Wellness Center staff also held several fitness events for the kids. Additional activities included a magician and cheerleader performance. The 52nd Dental Squadron hosted a dental awareness booth, and students participating in the National History competition in June hosted a display of their winning projects.
