SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, GERMANY -- From left: 1st Lt. William Vu, 52nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Tech. Sgt. Michael Powers, 52nd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Col. Darryl Roberson, 52nd Fighter Wing commander, and Tech. Sgt. Timothy Beers and Staff Sgt. Benjamin Turner from 52nd LRS in chemical protective gear. Lieutenant Vu spent the day with the commander as part of the Commander’s Shadow Program. Lieutenant Vu, a Houston native, is an assistant officer in charge with the 23rd Aircraft Maintenance Unit and leads more than 219 technicians in six AFSCs. He’s been in the Air Force for two years and hopes to earn a master’s degree in the next five years. He and the commanders observed Airmen from 52nd AMXS and 52nd LRS as they performed decontamination duties.
