SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Airman 1st Class Devin Christensen, 606th Air Control Squadron hugs his son Maxten while his wife Robyn looks on after returning from a four-month deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan, Sept. 16. About 60 members of the 606th ACS operated radar and communication for command and control for the 71st Expeditionary Air Control Squadron as well as to support air battle management. The unit also deployed 300 short tons of equipment to support air battle management operations and more than 13,000 sorties. Approximately 30 other 606th ACS members also returned from a four-month deployment to southwest Asia in support of the 73rd EACS. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Nick Wilson)
