Veterans Day: Honoring American heroes past, present
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Capt. Gary Moore, 52nd Operations Group, stands at parade rest in front of the memorial chapel to pay respects to fallen soldiers at the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial in Luxembourg City Nov. 11. In the center of the cemetery is a memorial chapel where visitors can enter to pay respects to members of the armed forces. The 50.5 acre cemetery is one of 14 American cemeteries established overseas after World War II and contains remains of more than 5,000 American servicemembers who died during the World War II.
