Airmen provide optometry care to deploying African troops

BURUNDI, Africa – Tech. Sgt. Luis Gonzales and Senior Airman Dale King perform a preliminary test on a troop at Gakumbu military base, Africa. The Airmen were part of a team sent to Burundi to provide optometry and eye care to two battalions from the Burundi military that were preparing to deploy on a peacekeeping mission to Somalia. Sergeant Gonzales is assigned to the 52nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron at Spangdahlem Air Base and Airman King is assigned to the 435th Aerospace Medicine Squadron at Ramstein Air Base.
