52nd FW chapel recognized
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – The 52nd Fighter Wing Chapel was selected as the 2009 Outstanding Large Chapel Organization for U.S. Air Forces in Europe. Chief Master Sgt. Alton Clemmons, command chaplain assistant career field functional manager, and Col. (Ch.) Scott Gardner, command chaplain at Headquarters USAFE (kneeling from left to right), visited Spangdahlem to congratulate the chapel as the winner Feb. 18. The 52nd FW chapel supported the wing mission with 520 volunteers, 53 community service organizations and 23,000 volunteer hours, worth $200,000 in 2009.
