Fire Safety Parade

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Inge Lersch, 52nd Civil Engineer Squadron fire department assistant chief of local national affairs, helps four-year-old Leni Thies put out a fire during a fire extinguishing demonstration as part of Fire Prevention Week Oct. 9. The day also included a fire brigade parade of German and U.S. fire trucks through Spangdahlem’s housing loop and fire emergency services activities such as an auto extrication demonstration, U.S. and German fire truck static displays, hose bowling, bunker drills, a smoke house, stove safety and a free barbecue.
