SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – The sun sets behind the Vitorio Emanuele II Bridge, one of about 30, in Rome Dec. 23. This bridge opened in 1911 and was built to commemorate Vitorio Emanuele II, the first king of a united Italy.
