Bonfires: Say goodbye to winter
PREISTS, Germany-- A group of young people from Preist, a community located outside of Spangdahlem, arrive at the bonfire area with torch lights. This group was responsible for lighting the big bonfire. The old tradition of lighting bonfires has been carried on by the people of the Eifel for many generations. It signifies the end of winter.
