Winterize your vehicle

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Spangdahlem AB Instruction 31-204, Air Force Vehicle Traffic Supervision, requires vehicles to be equipped with winter or all-season tires if driven during inclement weather, between Oct. 1 and March 30. Winter tires must have an M+S, M/S or snowflake symbol on the tire. German law requires vehicles to have winter tires while driving during icy conditions, regardless of the time of year. Sabers should also ensure the tread depth on their tires is at least 1/16 of an inch or 1.6 millimeters, for the entire traction surface. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Nathanael Callon)
