Civil Air Patrol visits Spangdahlem Air Base control tower
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Spangdahlem Civil Air Patrol cadets watch a demonstration of how the 52nd Operations Support Squadron control tower simulator trains new controllers to manage flightline airspace here Nov. 3. The cadets visited the control tower and ground radar office to get an inside look into the daily operations and jobs of the U.S. Air Force. CAP helps teenagers ages 12 to 19 push themselves to progress through a 16-step program that includes aerospace education, leadership training, physical fitness and moral leadership.
