Trier’s Weihnachtsmarkt highlights holiday cheer

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Straw angels and straw stars, which are traditional German holiday decorations, can be found at Trier’s Weihnachtsmarkt now through Dec. 22. Opening times for the market are 10:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Highlights include a performance by the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Brass Band from 6 - 7 p.m. Dec. 13.
