606th ACS exercises communication capabilities
SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Airman 1st Class Garret Breit, 606th Air Control Squadron cyber transport systems operator, cuts a network cable during a communications maintenance exercise here Jan. 18. This cable was used to connect a laptop to servers simulating a deployable network. The purpose of the exercise is to train squadron members in maintaining communication practices by establishing satellite communications and setting up a theater-deployable communications package.
