JPAC team excavates 1944 aircraft crash

ST. VITH, Belgium – U.S. Army Sgt. Jason Tinker, Joint Prisoners of War/Missing in Action Accounting Command recovery non-commissioned officer, searches for buried articles left by a World War II aircraft crash here Aug. 29. The Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command conducts global search and recovery operations to locate and identify unaccounted-for Americans from past conflicts and return them home with honor to support the Department of Defense’s personnel accounting efforts.
