Army, JTACS train with 81st FS pilots

SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Joint terminal attack controllers (JTACs) and U.S. Army UH-72 Lacota helicopter pilots, take off from here Sept. 5. The JTACs and helicopter pilots visited with the 81st Fighter Squadron here to exchange close-air-support tactics, techniques and procedures. During their visit, they also flew in an A-10 Thunderbolt II simulator, viewed the inside of an A-10 cockpit and viewed target information sent from ground forces to the A-10 pilots. The 81st FS shares and exchanges operating procedures with joint forces to ensure interoperability in future training exercises and contingency operations.
