Visitors experience history in Bastogne

BASTOGNE, Belgium – Rick van Holten stands outside a makeshift aid station that sits along the Bastogne Historic Walk route. Van Holten, who is from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, served in the Danish army for eight years. The military is in his blood, he said, so he wanted to continue to serve in any way that he could.
