Polish students visit Powidz AB
POWIDZ AIR BASE, Poland — A group of secondary school students from the Zespol school district view the features of a C-130J Super Hercules cockpit during a community outreach day at Powidz Air Base, Poland, March 8, 2013. Two C-130s and a group of nearly 60 U.S. military personnel from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, were in Poland for Exercise Screaming Eagle V, a bilateral training exercise hosted by Aviation Detachment 1, 52nd Operations Group, Lask Air Base, Poland. The Av-Det was activated in October 2012 after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Polish Defense Minister authorizing a U.S. continued presence in the region. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech.
