SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Nick Anderson, 52nd Equipment Maintenance Squadron Fabrication Flight Corrosion Control Element technician from Logan, Utah, paints a brake housing for a U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft April 16, 2013. Maintenance professionals inspect aircraft parts annually for signs of wear or damage. The parts are stripped of old paint, inspected under a type of X-ray for minute cracks and then repainted.
