Spangdahlem village sponsors USAFE Band concert

As part of a small German-American festival, the community of Spangdahlem invites Sabers to a concert by the "Direct Hit" U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band, 8-10 p.m., Aug. 21 at the Spangdahlem community hall. The concert is free.

On schedule are hits from the '60s and beyond. "Direct Hit" features a dynamic horn section, talented vocalists and a hard-hitting rhythm section.

Featured on ABC national television, they have entertained millions of military and civilian audience members in the European theater as well as downrange in locations such as Afghanistan, Qatar and Kyrgyzstan. Whether entertaining deployed troops, students at local area schools or performing for tens of thousands at music festivals, "Direct Hit" delivers explosive performances representing the professionalism of the men and women of the U.S. Air Force.

The Spangdahlem community hall, or Gemeindehalle, is located on Hauptstrasse 56.

Seats are limited and people should arrive early to find parking.
