Ahchoo -- It is that time of year again: cold and flu season. This means the ever-present runny noses and people sneezing and coughing all over everything. It can also lead to bottles of medicine and copious amounts of Vitamin C if you are not taking care of yourself. For those sick of getting sick, the medical group here has some tips:

· Drink an adequate amount of water.
· Consume a healthy diet.
· Exercise regularly.
· Keep stress levels to a minimum.
· Do not smoke.
· Get an adequate amount of sleep every night.
· Wash hands regularly.
· Minimize or eliminate alcohol consumption.
· Stay up-to-date on immunizations.
· Dress appropriately for weather conditions.

Following these tips can help prevent bacteria and viruses from attacking the immune system. It is important to stay healthy not only for ourselves and our families, but also for the mission. For more information on how to stay healthy, call the 52nd Medical Group at DSN 452-8333.
