When preparing for a long trip on an extended weekend, many may use a checklist to ensure nothing is forgotten. The checklist might include a tooth brush, clothes, deodorant and dropping off Fluffy, your pet.

However, there may be times when Fluffy may be left behind. In those instances, especially overseas, it can be a hassle to figure out what to do with your pet.

For the next family vacation, no stress will be necessary, according to John McMullen, 52nd Force Support Squadron Eifel Pet Spa manager. The spa offers care for pets with employees who have a true love for animals, he said. They also provide delivery to and from Ramstein Air Base and Frankfurt International Airport.

The spa provides care for a variety of different animals.

"We care for all dogs, cats, smaller critters like gerbils, guinea pigs, birds and some exotic animals," McMullen said. "We can take care of almost any animal."

Along with providing world-class care to a lot of different animals, McMullen said, are open throughout the day.

"We provide kenneling for your pets whenever you go on vacation," McMullen said."While you are on vacation, we walk your dogs and let them run around in their own play area. We also have a local vet nearby to take care of your pets needs just in case an emergency happens."

McMullen said that the staff at the spa provides for all the animals' needs.

"We have a doggy daycare, where people can drop off their pet at 7 in the morning and pickup them up at 6 in the evening," said McMullen.

McMullen said the spa also sells toys and collars and provides a grooming service for dogs and cats.

The pet spa's main mission is a little different than the typical Air Force mission.

"We are glorified pet babysitters, " McMullen said.

The pet spa is open from Monday through Friday 7-10 a.m. and 2-6 p.m.. On weekends, family days, and holidays, they are open from 7-9 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. For more information about the pet spa and services, contact McMullen at 06561-683713.
