The 52nd Medical Group will host a health celebration fair at the Club Eifel Ballroom on Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Jan. 21, 2016.

More than 40 base agencies will be participating in the complementary event -- themed 'New Year, New You' -- to provide a wide range of services to include free health screenings, fitness demonstrations, driving safety, a scavenger hunt and massages from local massage therapists for the community.

"Many people see the new year as an opportunity to 'reset' and leave old habits behind," said U.S. Air Force Capt. Denise Campbell, 52nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron health promotion dietitian. "We know that people have success with sticking to new habits when they have friends, family or agencies to show support, encourage them and hold them accountable.  This health celebration is a great opportunity to learn what agencies are available on base to help Saber Nation stick with their 2016 goals and resolutions."

Campbell added attendees will have the opportunity to complete a scavenger hunt to be eligible to win participation prizes like two 60-minute massages, a six-week exercise program and four yoga classes. There will also be activities for children such as ambulance tours and crafts.

Club Eifel will remain an approved alternate-duty location for Airmen wishing to attend the event.

"The enthusiasm that our 52nd MDG and helping agencies around Spangdahlem have to support the mission, Airmen and community is endless," Campbell said. "We're going to have a great time."
