Top Saber Performer for the week of Oct. 12 - 18 Published Oct. 11, 2007 SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Tech. Sgt. Joshua Ohl, an A-10 weapons instructor from the 372nd Training Squadron, has been named the 52nd Fighter Wing's Top Saber Performer for the week of Oct. 12 - 18. Name: Tech. Sgt. Joshua Ohl Unit: 372nd Training Squadron Detachment 17 Duty title: A-10 weapons instructor Hometown: Mineral Ridge, Ohio Years in service: 13 years Why joined: I jointed to get out of Ohio Family: Wife Sheila, son Kyle and daughter Kassie Hobbies: I enjoy salmon fishing, playing poker and hiking. Favorite aspect of job: My favorite aspect of the job is teaching others the proper way to perform all tasks required to maintain an aircraft weapons system. Most memorable Air Force experience: My most memorable Air Force experience was watching the F-117A's return from the first mission of Operation Allied Force/Noble Anvil. After they taxied back to chalks and opened their bomb bay doors, they revealed their two empty bomb bays that previously held two 2,000 pound munitions, which I had loaded prior to its sortie. I then realized the importance of my job and my training ... because without weapons, it's just another airline!
