Name:
Tech. Sgt. Steve Zarecki

Unit: 372nd Training Squadron/Detachment 17

Duty title:
Micro-miniature circuit board repair instructor

Hometown: Plymouth, Ind.

Years in Service: 14 years

Why I joined: After a seven-year break in service, the September 11 attacks occurred; I wanted to serve my country again.

Family: Wife, Kerstin, and four daughters, Devon, 18, Chenoa, 11 and 6-year-old twins, Chandra and Chantal

Hobbies:
Most of my time is spent on my children's hobbies, but my favorite of these would have to be sledding.

Favorite aspect of job: The satisfaction of knowing, after completing seven weeks of class, my students are able to repair Air Force assets instead of just replacing them.

Most memorable AF experience: My incentive flight in an F-16 Fighting Falcon

How do you make responsible choices: Having a plan before I go out
