Bitburg city traffic ring to end March 30

The City of Bitburg will revert the flow of its one-way inner-city traffic ring back to two opposing lanes March 30.

The council enacted the ring in 2013 as part of their effort to alleviate traffic flow ahead of planned construction projects.

Traffic will now run in two directions with a two-lane system rather than having one-way roads that lead traffic through the city into one direction.

Some road markings have already been changed, and all remaining road signs and traffic lights will soon follow ahead of the deadline.

It is recommended that drivers be cautious when traveling through the inner part of the city.
