Saber Nation annual award nominees announced

SPANGDAHLEM Air Base, Germany --  The 52nd Fighter Wing commander and command chief are pleased to announce the 2015 Annual Awards nominees.

"These amazing men and women clearly left the Wing better than they found it in 2015," said U.S. Air Force Col. Joe McFall, 52nd Fighter Wing commander. "I look forward to celebrating their accomplishments at the upcoming annual awards banquet."

The list is comprised of Airmen who are recognized as the best of their respective groups: 52nd Operations Group, 52nd Maintenance Group, 52nd Munitions Maintenance Group, 52nd Mission Support Group, 52nd Medical Group and 52nd Fighter Wing Staff Agencies.

The nominees will be presented with an annual award medallion by wing leadership during a pep rally 3 p.m., Feb. 25 at Hangar 1. The winners for each respective category will be announced at the Annual Awards Banquet, 6 p.m., Feb. 26 at Club Eifel.

"The continued success of the Saber Nation reflects the hard work and dedication of all our Sabers - military, civilian, host nation and our family members," said U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Brian Gates, 52nd FW command chief. "I congratulate our nominees, and I challenge everyone to reach higher goals and make 2016 an even better year for Spangdahlem."
