Volunteers needed for 2008 Saint Martin’s School Special Children’s Day Published Aug. 12, 2008 By Airman 1st Class Nathanael Callon 52nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany -- Volunteers are needed for Spangdahlem's 13th annual Saint Martin's Special Children's Day at the Skelton Memorial Fitness Center Oct. 1. Throughout the day children will play games like rope bowling, stickball races, ball walks, beanbag tosses and much more. As they compete, the children will be awarded prizes for their hard work. They will break for lunch, play more games and finally the awards ceremony will commence. This is a great opportunity for German children from the local area to experience a little American culture and a day of fun. The 52nd Civil Engineer Squadron is working to provide these children with a memorable experience but needs volunteers to help with the event. Volunteer opportunities include helping the children, setting-up and tearing-down, cooking, running the game stations and sports coordinators. If interested in helping with the children, contact Master Sgt. Andrea Callies at DSN 452-4454, Tech Sgt. Davina Armbruster at DSN 452-6057, or Tech Sgt. Julie Frydrych at DSN 452-7957. For all other volunteer opportunities and questions regarding the event, contact Senior Master Sgt. Randy Grant at DSN 452-5251.
