Since 1994, Spangdahlem Sabers have supported the St. Martin-Schule Bitburg by making a holiday visit every year bringing gifts, smiles and the very well-known St. Nikolaus.

This year was no different as the Sabers brought cheer by the bus load Dec. 5.

In between songs played by the 52nd Civil Engineer band, children showed off their many talents with each class by performing a skit or reading a story.

"We wanted to do this because it's the right thing to do, said Senior Master Sgt. Louis Suarez, 52nd Civil Engineer Squadron Superintendent of Programs Flights."It was awesome to the see the excitement and the students smiling."

52nd Civil Engineer Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Charles Kuhl presented the school with a 500 Euro check, made possible by the 52nd Civil Engineer Squadron Top Four organization. The check was given to the school to buy supplies and spread holiday cheer.

Closing out the day was St. Nikolaus and his military helpers delivering gifts to each class.
