Ramstein Ruggers compete in rugby championship against Trier Published May 1, 2009 RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- The Ramstein Rogues Rugby Club will travel May 9 en-masse to the Waldstadium in Trier to play the Trier Rugby Club for the championship in Rhienland Pfalz Division-III. Ramstein has only lost one match, which was against Trier earlier this season. The Rogues have accumulated a point's differential of 207 thumping other teams from the Worms, Andernach, Kaiserslautern and Stadt Saarois. Trier Rugby Club is the only obstacle between the mighty Ramstein Rogues and another RP Championship. The Rogues were champions in the 2006-07 seasons and are seeking to reclaim the title. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. and all spectators, supporters and rugby enthusiasts are encouraged to join the club in this final contest of the season. The Rogues welcome all players interested in the game of rugby at all skill levels. Training is provided and travel opportunities within Europe are on the schedule.
